Tour highlights included three performances: the International School of Beijing, Beijing School #80, and Beijing School #166 at the Forbidden City Concert Hall, regarded as the best performance venue in China.  Other highlights included visits to Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace,  Ming tombs, the jade, pearl and silk factories, Cloisonne factory, a tea house, the Peking Acrobats, and the Beijing Opera. They toured the historic central city Hutong district by rickshaw where they saw a traditional courtyard community home and a kindergarten school. Students were also treated to an authentic Peking Duck dinner, a Chinese Hot Pot Dinner, and several other traditional Chinese meals.
