Marching Band

The Edina Hornet Marching Band performs for a wide variety of school, athletic, community, and music events and is a tremendously unifying force in the Edina band program. Directed by Andrew Richter and assisted by Paul Kile, marching band consists of all high school band members from Concert, Varsity, Symphonic and 10th Grade Bands. Ninth graders do not participate in the marching band program.

Uniform Fitting

ALL students in 10th Grade Band, Varsity Band, and Concert Band are automatically registered for marching band and must be fitted for a uniform even if you had a uniform last year. (Marching band is optional for Symphonic Band students). Marching band students who have not gotten their uniform yet should contact Mrs. Lundgren at gina.lundgren@gmail.com or call/text her at 612-201-9357 to set up a time.

Marching Band Fee

Students participating in marching band (all Concert Band, Varsity Band, 10th Grade Band students and any Symphonic Band students that choose to participate) will be charged a fee for marching band. The fees cover:

  • Marching Band music books
  • Band t -shirt (same as previous years)
  • Uniform maintenance
  • Gloves
  • New marching band shoes

Fee Levels

$75: Student new to marching band, with new shoes and new t-shirt

$38: Student new to marching band, with used shoes

$25: 11th and 12th grade students that marched last year using last year’s shoes and band t -shirt

We will notify students of their amount due once they have been fitted for their uniform. Fees will not be any higher than $75 and will be due the week after Labor Day.

How do I pay my fees?

Fees can be paid by cash/check or Venmo (@edinabands).
